Formula 1 today announced Crypto.com as the first global partner of the new Sprint Series for 2021, with the first event at Silverstone on Saturday 17 July at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix Pirelli.

Crypto.com Writes:

“We’re extremely excited to announce that Crypto.com is the newest Global Partner of F1 We’re also the first Official Cryptocurrency Sponsor, and NFT Partner of F1. This season you’ll see us collaborate on several initiatives including the introduction of a brand new award, celebrating ambition and bravery out on track and within the sport.

Crypto.com will also be the Inaugural Partner of the F1 ‘Sprint’ series for 2021, which fans will experience for the first time at the Silver stone GP on Saturday 17 July. Continuing the theme of innovation, we’re partnering with F1 in the development of exclusive NFTs, connecting fans to the sport in new and innovative ways.

This is just the beginning of a multi-year partnership rooted in collaboration and innovation.”

In the new sprint format, Drivers will cover more than 100 km on Saturday afternoon on selected Grand Prix weekend, and the Sprint result will determine the starting grid for Sunday’s full-distance Grand Prix.

Crypto.com will also have a trackside presence for the remainder of the season as part of a flagship global partnership with Formula 1.
