Justin Sun Quits As Tron CEO, TRON Foundation To Dissolve On July 25, 2022

Sun further said:

“Foundation has settled to dissolve itself on July 25, 2021. The “justinsuntron,” “BitTorrent,” and “µTorrent,” have officially withdrawn from TRON representatives. Instead, the entire TRON network is now run by 27 SRs hosted by the community.

Today, the overall market value of the blockchain industry has reached $2.2 trillion. Against this backdrop, I believe the next milestone for the whole industry is to establish a more harmonized relationship with international regulatory jurisdictions.

I have accepted the invitation and appointment of the Grenadian government to officially serve as the Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Grenada the WTO in Geneva, Switzerland, fighting for the interests of developing countries and promoting blockchain.

Undoubtedly, the World Trade Organization’s recognition of blockchain technology’s value is of vital importance to our industry. And Grenada is also a critical member of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, of the Commonwealth of Nations, of the United Nations, etc.

I do not doubt that TRON has embarked on a new phase of true decentralization. In the new era, blockchain technology will enable a decentralized financial infrastructure for all people! So let us embrace the future together!”

According to Sun, he is not leaving the project altogether, but “rather stepping down as active leader”.

I’m not retiring from #TRON, but rather stepping down from an active involvement to serve as leader and supporter role now that the TRON network has been truly decentralized.

Sun confirmed that it isn’t a paid role, and added that one of his goals is to represent and make blockchain mainstream by bringing it to the global political arena via WTO.
