The massive interest in cryptocurrencies has contributed to the net worth of some of the notable players in the nascent industry. Last year, a total of 12 industry players were listed in the Forbes crypto billionaire rankings.

However, this year, the number has skyrocketed to 19, with Chanpeng Zhao, Binance CEO and founder at the top of the list with a net worth of $65 billion.

Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of popular cryptocurrency exchange FTX sits at the second position with a valuation of $24 billion.

The founder and CEO of U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, was also not left out of the top three positions in the latest rankings.

Meanwhile, the trio are not the most popular cryptocurrency players to have made the latest Forbes crypto billionaire rankings.

Other notable figures who made the list include Ripple Chairman Chris Larsen, Gary Wang of FTX, Gemini twin (Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss), Ripple’s Jed McCaleb, MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor, and a host of others.
