Dogecoin Enthusiasts Promote Businesses

It is worth noting that Dogecoin has a vibrant community on the popular microblogging platform Twitter, which has not failed to celebrate the new adoption of cryptocurrency in payments.

On different occasions, most Dogecoin enthusiasts write and publish articles, highlighting businesses that accept the memecoin as payment, which enlightens more people globally about the company’s existence.

To a large extent, Dogecoin enthusiasts who reside in areas where most of these businesses are located have trooped in their numbers to patronize these merchants that accept DOGE.

Interestingly, business owners seem to be aware of the free marketing that comes with accepting Dogecoin payments, as the initiative does not only create massive awareness for their brands, it also increases patronage.

So far, hundreds of businesses in the United States and other parts of the world have integrated Dogecoin payments, including publicly-traded firms like Tesla, AMC Theaters, the Dallas Mavericks, etc.

Dogecoin Community Pushes for More Adoption

Despite the widespread adoption of DOGE payments, the community is still pushing relentlessly to have more businesses accept the first and biggest memecoins.

Last month, a group of Dogecoin enthusiasts led by the popular YouTuber Matt Wallace proposed an initiative to educate more businesses on the benefits of accepting memecoin in payment.

The initiative, which was applauded by the community, became a problem after the YouTuber proposed that he will be creating a new token dubbed “Accept Dogecoin,” in a bid to provide funding for the project.

The Dogecoin pseudonymous founder did not find this funny as he issued a warning to him to desist from abusing the Dogecoin trademark or risk being taken to court.

After lots of deliberation, Wallace changed the name of the token to Accept Cryptocurrency (ACEPT) to further foster his vision of getting more businesses to accept DOGE.

However, the token’s lifetime was cut short following a rug pull, which saw the token’s value crash by 99%.
