The Dogepalooza festival is scheduled to celebrate the growth of Dogecoin, and the festival will feature exciting events.
Enthusiasts of the popular meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE), who are based in Texas, have announced that they will be throwing a party for the cryptocurrency over the weekend, to celebrate its success and growth over the years.
The event, dubbed the Dogepalooza Festival, is scheduled to take place all day on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas.
Details of the Event
According to the announcement published on Texas Is Life, the event will feature a main stage, DJ, numerous musical artists, and other acts that will perform throughout the day to entertain Dogecoin enthusiasts in the city.
37 artists, including Dionne Warwick, Damon Elliot, White Sun, Lil Mook, and others, will be performing at the Dogepalooza Festival this weekend.
Notably, the event will be hosted and MC’d by Totally Randie from Houston Style Magazine.
Aside from partying, the Dogepalooza Festival will also include food and drink vendors and educational workshops that will focus mainly on Dogecoin and how to use the meme coin in transactions.
“Specially designed as an innovative and fun way to bring the DOGE community together to share their passion and love for Dogecoin. We will be giving back to the community by supporting and donating to both local and national charities [through the funds raised via the sale of tickets],” an excerpt of the Dogepalooza website read.
It is worth noting that the event is not free. Attendees will be required to purchase tickets from the event’s official website at http://dogepalooza.com, and the prices range from between $25 and $150, based on each category you choose to opt for.
Interestingly, these tickets will grant attendees free parking and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of up to 5,000 units.
Massive Growth of Dogecoin
Dogecoin has recorded sensational growth since it launched in 2013. The cryptocurrency. Which traded at a paltry sum at the time soared last year to nearly $1 for a unit.
Although the cryptocurrency’s current value is far from its previous all-time high of $0.73, enthusiasts are still optimistic that the value will soar as they continue to embark on an accumulation spree for the coin. At the time of writing, the price of a unit of DOGE is around $0.144.
