Popular blockchain company Ripple said it has selected the final creators that will benefit from the first wave of its $250 million non-fungible token (NFT) Creator Fund.

According to the fintech company, a total of five creators have been added to the list of already selected beneficiaries of the $250 million Creator Fund.

Selected Beneficiaries

The selected creators include producer of Michael Jordan’s visual autobiography For the Love of the Game Rare Air Media, contemporary artist Jessica Ragz, Netflix documentary star Zion Clark, PancakeSwap designer and artist Chef Cecy, and human rights advocacy group Women Helping Women.

Notably, the selected beneficiaries for the Ripple’s Creator Fund will be able to tap the XRP Ledger (XRPL) technology for fast and low-cost, and carbon-neutral transactions.

Mark Vancil, founder, and CEO of Rare Air Media, said:

“The XRP Ledger provides a platform that allows us to open our minds far wider to contemplate unique ways of communicating ideas. We are thrilled to be minting our first series.”

Ripple’s Creator Fund

It is worth noting that the $250 million Creator Fund is a commitment by the blockchain company to enable non-fungible token developers to launch their projects on the XRP Ledger.

The fund provides creators, marketplaces, entrepreneurs, and agencies with financial and technical support for their various NFT projects.

Since the Ripple’s Creator Fund was launched, over 4,000 applicants have applied for the initiative, as they hope to become the next beneficiaries of the program.

As reported, Ripple noted last month that it selected the first recipients for the NFT Creator Fund.

According to the fintech company, which is currently facing charges from the U.S. SEC for conducting an unregistered securities offering, creators like Ethernal Labs, xPunks, and NFT Pro were among the first recipients of the fund.
