Shiba Inu Announces Amazon’s Former Legal Consultant Craig Kessler (CK1) as Its First Legal Counsel.

The team behind the popular dog-themed cryptocurrency Shiba Inu (SHIB), has finally unveiled the meaning behind the phrase “CK1,” which saw several members of the SHIBArmy join the contest a days ago to decode its meaning.

Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu lead developer in his latest Medium post Explained about CK1.

Contrary to the community’s guess that the phrase is an upcoming feature or offering, the Shiba Inu team disclosed that “CK1” is a short form for attorney Craig Kessler and he would join the project as its first legal counsel.

Attorney Kessler’s Job Responsibility

Attorney Kessler, a specialist in contract law, will handle the necessary contracts for all Shiba Inu’s upcoming projects, including Shib.io Metaverse Studio and Metaverse advisory team and other contracts.

Not only that, the announcement adds that attorney Kessler will handle the legal aspects of the project’s entertainment deals and other partnerships that the dog-themed project will venture into in the near future.

Prior to his appointment, attorney Kessler had been a legal consultant for Amazon Studios and Prime Video, which makes the Shiba Inu team believe it is currently in good hands.

Attorney Kessler’s knowledge of expertise in the entertainment industry is expected to come in handy in helping Shiba Inu record significant success in its journey into the metaverse.

Why Shiba Inu Is Appointing a Legal Counsel

According to the announcement, the move to recruit a contract lawyer for the project is imperative following the growth of the SHIB ecosystem.

The massive growth of the Shiba Inu ecosystem has seen the release of significant upgrades and developments in less than two years of its inception. Based on the growth of Shiba Inu, the team said:

“We’re now at a place where it is MISSION CRITICAL to find a lawyer that specializes in contract law. In this way, we can ensure another layer of protection and ensure any [partnerships] directly benefit Shib and all entities involved.”
