Vladimir Tenev, the CEO and co-founder of popular trading firm Robinhood Markets, has a best friend in the world: the largest meme coin, Dogecoin (DOGE).

In the spirit of celebrating U.S. National Best Friends Day, Tenev took to Twitter to share a smiling picture of himself featuring the Dogecoin mascot close to his shoulder as he tweeted:

“Things are never quite as scary when you’ve got a best friend.”

Memecoin Supporters Link the Mascot to their Favorite Project

Meanwhile, the tweet has prompted questions from cryptocurrency community members, especially meme coin enthusiasts, who are inquisitive to know which memecoin’s mascots are featured in the picture.

“What kind of dog is that on the right?,” a Twitter user who goes by the username @gfcrypto8080 tweeted.

Some of the people who commented on the post suggested that the mascot belongs to the second-largest meme coin Shiba Inu (SHIB) citing Robinhood’s recent listing of the Shib earlier this year but the matter of fact is that Robinhood CEO is only referring to dogecoin as he is a big fan of the meme coin like Elon Musk.

Tenev Is a Fan of Dogecoin

However, others noted that it is Dogecoin based on the fact that Tenev has always been in support of Dogecoinand has proposed ways to aid in the widespread adoption of the asset class.

In April, Tenev proposed tips that would help Dogecoin become the currency of the internet, thus prompting reactions from other DOGE proponents like Tesla founder Elon Musk and DOGE co-creator Billy Marcus.
