In a tweet on Wednesday, The Giving Block, a platform that makes it easy for nonprofits to receive crypto donations, reveals that it has entered into a partnership with Cardano’s parent company, Input Output Global (IOG). The partnership would allow ADA holders to donate to humanitarian relief causes in Ukraine.

Users only have to visit the website attached to the tweet to scan the QR code with their wallets or copy the wallet address below to donate. The firm discloses that all donations made will be split between 8 different nonprofits, including; International Medical Corps, CARE, World Central Kitchen, Women For Women, SOS Children’s Villages, Save the Children, Hearts, and Homes For Refugees, and International Fund for Animal Welfare.

“We are so excited for this partnership @InputOutputHK! Looking forward to the ADA community rallying together to help so many well deserving people of Ukraine!” Michael Elliot, Project Marketing Manager at The Giving Block, comments in response to the announcement.

It is worth noting that Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, Alex Bornyakov, recently reiterated the country’s belief in crypto. Bornyakov said crypto remains integral to the country’s defense plan despite the crypto winter. Moreover, according to Bornyakov, the unique advantages of crypto in cross-border payments saved the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.

Notably, crypto donations to Ukraine’s resistance to the Russian invasion have slowed as “war fatigue” sets in and the crypto markets face harsh macroeconomic conditions. However, the Ukrainian government is not throwing in the towel. To rekindle interest, it has turned to artists to create NFTs to raise funds for its defense efforts.

It bears mentioning that Ukraine has been fending off Vladimir Putin’s forces for nearly six months. During this time, the country has raised over $100 million in cryptocurrencies, providing invaluable and timely aid to soldiers at the war front and displaced citizens.
