Per a recent announcement, the integration of Vechain and OrionOne technologies will enable the latter to offer logistics companies the opportunity of utilizing blockchain in their businesses without investing in network infrastructure and digital currencies.

The supply chain industry is estimated to grow to $42 billion per year by 2027. Despite this speculation, the industry still has many challenges for creating unique opportunities for blockchain innovation.  Commenting on the development, Jason Rockwood, the United States arm of VeChain Inc., said:

“A key barrier to wide blockchain adoption is the application layer that connects infrastructure to specific business problems. OrionOne simplifies the data gathering mechanism and makes the value of blockchain tangible and easy to deploy. This in turn saves corporate clients time and money while staying current with the latest innovations in supply chain technology.”

OrionOne’s Offerings

Prior to the partnership, OrionOne already offered logistics companies the ability to organize and manage people, goods, and resources across the entire supply chain.

OrionOne’s services also entail providing an overview of a product’s movement to the market. OrionOne’s integration of VeChain’s tech to the platform will further enhance its services to logistics companies.

The press release stated that an updated version of OrionOne’s website with VeChain’s functionality would be rolled out by August 15, 2022.

Tommy Stephenson, CEO of OrionOne, took time out to heap praise on VeChain for its prowess in developing reliable blockchain and supply chain solutions.

“When it comes to blockchain and supply chain, there’s only one game in town, and that’s VeChain. No other entity can compete with their low-cost, rapid deployment, and ease of use,” Stephenson said, adding:

“We’re excited to integrate their blockchain into our products to bring VeChain to a wider network of clients.”

Growing Adoption of VeChain

VeChain’s solution has been widely adopted across various sectors, especially supply chain and logistics. In June, UFC, a mixed martial arts organization, announced it had selected VeChain to become its official blockchain partner.

Meanwhile, VeChain CEO Sunny Lu recently announced that the company wants to use its tech to change the world
