Gokhshtein defends Musk against critics who say Elon Musk shills and pumps Dogecoin.

In a recent tweet, founder of Gokhshtein Media David Gokhshtein said he had not seen Tesla CEO Elon Musk “shill” and “pump” Dogecoin despite being a fan of the leading canine-themed cryptocurrency.

“Elon Musk is a huge fan of DOGE. I haven’t seen him ‘shilling’ it or ‘pumping’ it,” Gokhshtein said.

“Shilling” in crypto refers to promoting the widespread adoption of a token or coin through implicit advertising, while “pumping” in crypto means a rapid spike in the price of a crypto asset.

Is Saylor Also Shilling Bitcoin: Gokhshtein

According to Gokhshtein, if people insist that Musk is a shill and pump Dogecoin, then it is safe to say MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor is doing the same thing for Bitcoin.

It is worth noting that Musk is a Dogecoin proponent, while Saylor supports only Bitcoin. Both Musk and Saylor have taken to Twitter to highlight the benefits of their favorite crypto assets.

While Musk believes Dogecoin could ultimately become the future currency of the internet, Saylor considers Bitcoin as an asset that will reimburse investors robbed by inflation.

Musk Wants People to Use Dogecoin on Twitter

Furthermore, Gokhshtein said Musk, the world’s richest man, is only trying to figure out how people can use Dogecoin on the popular social media platform Twitter.

“From my standpoint, Elon is trying to figure out how people can use DOGE on here,” Gokhshtein said.

Recall that several crypto stakeholders have speculated that Dogecoin will merge with Twitter following Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform.

“Now that Twitter is in the hands of Elon musk, I can see a real possibility that DOGE will somehow merge with the platform,” Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson tweeted in OctoberHe also suggested that Dogecoin become a Cardano sidechain, adding that he would personally conduct the migration at zero cost.

The world’s richest man has also hinted that Twitter will provide utility for Dogecoin. TheCryptoBasic reported last month that Musk tweeted a picture of a dog putting on a Twitter shirt, thus indicating that Dogecoin will be integrated into Twitter.

Notably, Twitter plans to compensate content creators for making the social media platform fun via their texts, pictures, and videos. Musk noted in a tweet last month that Twitter could pay higher compensation to content creators on the platform. Should Twitter start compensating content creators, many believe Dogecoin will be added to the list of payment methods.
