Cardano Founder Launches Health Clinic that Accepts ADA Payments

Charles Hoskinson has confirmed that the health and wellness clinic recently launched in Wyoming will accept payments in Cardano (ADA).

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano (ADA), has finally launched the Hoskinson Health and Wellness Clinic, a Wyoming-based medical facility with a goal to proactively address the root causes of ailments, emphasizing preventive healthcare measures. Hoskinson has confirmed that the clinic will accept payments in ADA.

In a tweet today, Hoskinson called public attention to the grand opening which occurred on May 13, as he shared a YouTube video of the event. When asked if patients can pay in ADA, Hoskinson answered in the affirmative.

Charles Hoskinson is not solely involved in the clinic, as the medical center is a family-owned venture founded in collaboration with his father, Dr. Mark Hoskinson and his brother Dr. William Hoskinson, who are both physicians. 

Speaking in an interview after the opening, Hoskinson confirmed that the family is looking to expand the clinic beyond this point in what he calls the “Phase 2.” He revealed plans to construct another large space for the clinic, augmenting the total area by an extra 20,000 square feet. 

Hoskinson also disclosed that they are looking to feature the first medical healthcare powered by artificial intelligence (AI) in the clinic. They are currently constructing a supercomputer which would leverage the power of AI to enhance image processing. 

The clinic was originally intended to open in December 2022, but the launch was delayed due to undisclosed reasons. In January, Hoskinson mentioned that they are looking to open in February, but the date was further pushed back. Speaking to a local news outlet in April, Dennis Jack, the Director of Operations at the clinic, revealed that the delay was as a result of “a combination of everything.” 

Hoskinson has continued to delve into other ventures besides his roles at Input Output Global and Cardano. Last year, the American entrepreneur opened a restaurant in Wyoming. Hoskinson confirmed that the business will accept payments in ADA.
