Tokyo Premier Exchange Crowns Shiba Inu as Most Popular Crypto

BitPoint mentions Shiba Inu as the most popular cryptocurrency, along with Cardano (ADA) and Tron (TRX).

BitPoint, a Tokyo-based cryptocurrency exchange, recently revealed the top six most popular cryptocurrencies on its platform. Shiba Inu has surpassed Cardano and Tron to claim the top spot.

Klaytn (KLAY) grabs the second position on the list, whereas Cardano (ADA) is mentioned as the third most popular cryptocurrency on the platform. DEAPcoin (DEP), JMY, and Tron (TRX) secure the fourth, fifth, and sixth spots.

BitPoint was the first top exchange in Japan that added support for Shiba Inu. The exchange-listed SHIB back on November 30th, 2022.

Shiba Inu has been making significant strides in the cryptocurrency market recently as the launch of the Shibarium mainnet draws near. SBI Group, a prominent financial services giant in Japan, has announced its plan to introduce SHIB trading on its platform, SBI VC Trade.

In addition, the Hong Kong HKVAC Rating Agency has also recognized the potential of popular canine-themed cryptocurrency. As reported earlier by The Crypto Basic, the Hong Kong Virtual Assets Consortium (HKVAC) unveiled its comprehensive virtual asset index, which includes 30 crypto assets based on market capitalization. Shiba Inu (SHIB) and XRP were among the cryptocurrencies featured in this index.

The developments have propelled Shiba Inu to become the top-held token among the 100 biggest ETH Whales, excluding Ethereum and stablecoins.
