Here Is How SEC Vs. Ripple Summary Judgment Ruling Is Going To Be Announced

Pro-XRP lawyer Deaton has revealed how the judge presiding over the SEC vs. Ripple’s case will issue the summary judgment.

As the SEC vs. Ripple case approaches its end, XRP community members have been asking multiple questions regarding the lawsuit. Aside from knowing when the lawsuit will end, the XRP community has been inquiring about how Judge Torres will issue the ruling.

Deaton Reveals How the Ruling Will Be Issued

Interestingly, CryptoLaw founder attorney John Deaton provided an answer to this pertinent question in his recent CryptoLaw broadcast.

Attorney Deaton dismissed the possibility of Judge Torres making her summary judgment decision known to only SEC and Ripple.

“A lot of people want to know how this [summary judgment] decision is going to be announced. Is she going to call Ripple and the SEC and tell them? No. Absolutely not,” Deaton was quoted as saying.

The pro-XRP lawyer said Judge Torres would issue the summary judgment in the public docket. According to Deaton, the ruling will be released in the same way the court has released previous rulings related to the case, including Judge Torres’ decision on the Daubert/expert motion.

“We are going to get the filings in the public docket just like we did [get] the Hinman’s emails and other rulings,” said Deaton.

SEC and Ripple Lawyers to Receive Emails

He added that the public will learn about the rulings at the same time. However, the CryptoLaw founder said the Ripple and SEC lawyers involved in the case would receive an email of the ruling.

Deaton stressed that there is a possibility that the parties involved in the case might get the ruling via emails a few minutes before the public learns about it.

Furthermore, Deaton said the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York frequently deals with financial-related cases and knows how vital information is used for insider trading.

Since the court is aware that people can engage in insider trading using important rulings like the summary judgment in the SEC vs. Ripple lawsuit, it will ensure the final verdict of the Ripple lawsuit is kept as a top-notch secret.

Consequently, Deaton asserts that nobody will get preliminary information regarding the content of the ruling before it is filed publicly.

Deaton Says Losing Party Will Appeal

It is worth noting that attorney Deaton recently released a broadcast to address some inquiries related to the case’s final verdict.

As reported yesterday, Deaton speculated that any of the parties that lose in summary judgment would appeal the ruling. He stated that the case could go up to the Supreme Court.
