Terra Classic (LUNC) and L1 Task Force Developers Resign Due to Private Info Doxxing

Terra Classic (LUNC) developers and L1JTF team members LuncBurnArmy and Fragwuerdig have resigned after having their private info doxxed.

In a shocking turn of events, two prominent LUNC L1 Task Force members, LuncBurnArmy (LBA) and Fragwuerdig, have resigned from Terra Classic (LUNC) due to a disturbing breach of their privacy.

The developers made the difficult decision to step down immediately after their sensitive personal information was released to the public without their consent.

The announcement was made by LBA, who stated that despite the significant achievements made in updating the blockchain, including major version upgrades to Cosmos SDK and Tendermint, the violation of their privacy and the safety of their families took precedence.

LBA and Fragwuerdig emphasized that this decision was not taken lightly, underlining the importance of personal security.

Following their resignation, the surplus funding allocated for the second quarter will be returned to the community pool, as the team completed the quarter under budget. Additionally, the funding initially designated for LBA and Fragwuerdig for the third quarter will be redirected back to the community pool.

While LBA and Fragwuerdig bid farewell to the community and expressed gratitude for their support, the remaining L1 Task Force team members, namely Vinh, Superman, Gevik, and Xi, will continue their work into the third quarter.

Vinh, in particular, will serve as the primary point of contact for the L1 Task Force team. LBA, who formerly served as the L1 Team’s project manager, encouraged community members to direct any questions related to the task force to Vinh.

LUNC Community Reacts

Vinh responded to the development, assuring the community that despite the resignations, most core developers remain committed to their responsibilities, and the third quarter will proceed as planned.

Meanwhile, Zaradar, who previously resigned due to mounting issues, expressed gratitude towards LBA and Fragwuerdig, acknowledging their tireless efforts to improve LUNC. Zaradar also called for reflection and urged the community to focus on purging the platform of any lingering issues.

However, not all reactions were supportive. Rabbi Jebediah, a community member, demanded immediate reimbursement of the third-quarter funds to the community pool.

Jebediah also called on Vinh to restructure the team and submit a new proposal for the upcoming quarter. Fragwuerdig reminded Jebediah that, despite his and LBA’s departure, the L1 Team still has a mandate. He assured Jebediah that the funds meant for him and LBA would be returned promptly.

Jebediah countered Fragwuerdig’s statement, asserting that the original plans and mandates for the L1 team are no longer valid, and demanded a return of the funds, a team restructure, and a revised proposal that adheres to the principles of governance.

Escalating Issues

LBA and Fragwuerdig’s resignation comes on the heels of escalating issues prevalent within the Terra Classic community, as the L1 Task Force comes under repeated fire.

Some community members have also sought to form parallel teams. These persistent disputes triggered a previous proposal to make Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao the leader of the LUNC community. Expectedly, the community rejected this proposal.
