The development was shared yesterday by prominent cryptocurrency payment provider BitPay. According to the announcement, Taylor Swift’s fans can use cryptos, including SHIB, to purchase the “Eras Tour” movie ticket on AMC Theaters’ app.

Taylor Swift’s Movie Premiere
BitPay made the remark while reacting to an X post from Swift, a multi-talented American singer-songwriter. In her recent X post, Swift announced the premiere of her highly anticipated concert documentary, dubbed “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.”
According to Swift, the team behind the documentary opened early access yesterday in America and Canada due to unprecedented demand.
She disclosed that the team would also air the concert film today, October 13, and throughout the weekend. Notably, the documentary will be aired across 90 countries globally starting today.
Furthermore, the singer stated that all tickets will be available today from 10 a.m. Interestingly, AMC Theaters is one of the platforms where Swift’s fans can watch the documentary.
It is worth noting that the nearly three-hour documentary encompasses Swift’s 17-year musical career across her ten studio albums. The documentary, which was filmed over three nights at LA’s SoFi Stadium in August, does not contain any backstage footage or interviews.
AMC Accepts Shiba Inu Payments
Last year, BitPay and AMC Theaters entered into a strategic partnership that allows movie lovers to buy tickets using cryptocurrencies.
Commenting on the development, AMC CEO Adam Aron Adam specifically mentioned Shiba Inu as one of the crypto assets people can use to purchase tickets.
“Exactly as promised, the AMC mobile app for AMC’s U.S. theaters now accepts online payments using Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and other cryptocurrencies — thanks to Bitpay,” he said.
Aside from Shiba Inu and Dogecoin, Swift’s fans can also purchase tickets on AMC using any of the supported crypto assets on BitPay, including BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, and BCH.
