Prominent tech billionaire Elon Musk has attracted the attention of two prominent crypto communities – Shiba Inu and XRP – following his recent viral cryptic tweet.
In a recent X post, Musk tweeted two letters and a preposition, which read: “In X S.” The post, which has attracted over 115K likes at press time, left the majority of Musk’s 160.4 million followers attempting to decipher the meaning.
Shiba Inu and XRP Communities React
Interestingly, the Shiba Inu and XRP armies also reacted to the post, as both communities suggested that the tech billionaire was referring to their favorite crypto asset.
For XRP fans, the “X” in Musk’s tweet represents XRP, the fifth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. This was indicated by popular XRP supporter @XRPcryptowolf in the comment section.

Notably, Shiba Inu community members believed the “S” in Musk’s tweet represents SHIB. A member of the Shiba Inu team who goes by the pseudonym “Vet Kusama” wrote in the comment section: “In X SHI.”

It bears mentioning that SHI is an upcoming algorithmic stablecoin being developed by the Shiba Inu team. Unlike most stablecoins, SHI will be pegged to one cent ($0.01). Upon its launch, SHI will join other Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens, including SHIB, LEASH, and BONE.
Besides comments from Shiba Inu and XRP enthusiasts, other followers of the tech billionaire also gave their own version of the post. Notably, these comments, especially those from XRP and Shiba Inu community members, are mere speculations, as Musk could be referring to something different.
Musk Tweets Ignite Crypto Fans’ Reactions
It will not be the first time Musk has sparked intense debate within the cryptocurrency community through his tweets.
Earlier this month, XRP enthusiasts were ecstatic after Musk posted a video showing the X logo. Reacting, @XRPcryptowolf indicated that the X logo resembles that of XRP.

In July, the billionaire entrepreneur stirred enthusiastic responses from SHIB community members after he directly mentioned Shiba Inu on X.
“We rebranded to a Shiba Inu dog for a while,” said Musk.
Meanwhile, Musk’s latest cryptic tweet did not positively impact the prices of Shiba Inu and XRP.
According to data from CoinGecko, both XRP and SHIB are down 1.4% and 2.6%, respectively. At press time, XRP changed hands at $0.48, while SHIB traded around $0.00000676.
