Ethereum insider Steven Nerayoff makes fresh allegations against Vitalik Buterin, accusing the ETH co-founder of intellectual property theft.
In a recent tweet, Nerayoff, who previously accused Buterin of copying his ideas and concept, suggested that the Ethereum co-founder also copied Cardano.
What timing! This is why I just said @Cardano_CF is my top pick in crypto. You will hear on the recording me telling @VitalikButerin he made a major mistake in getting rid of @IOHK_Charles & should bring him back.
Are the clueless smug @ethereum cultists who got rid of Charles… https://t.co/x5w6yDRB4M

A Huge Mistake Getting Rid of Hoskinson
It bears mentioning that Cardano was established in 2017 by Charles Hoskinson, one of the founders of the Ethereum network.
However, Hoskinson left Ethereum in 2014 following a dispute with Buterin over whether the network should be a non-profit or commercial project. While Hoskinson wanted Ethereum to be designed for commercial purposes, Buterin supported the non-profit initiative.
Over seven years after Hoskinson left Ethereum, Nerayoff revealed that he informed Buterin that he made a huge mistake getting rid of the Cardano boss.
“Are the clueless smug @ethereum cultists who got rid of Charles happy now that the boy genius is copying Cardano?” he quizzed.
Buterin Copied Ripple Smart Contract Functionality
Additionally, Nerayoff alleged that Buterin copied innovative ideas from Ripple to develop Ethereum’s smart contract functionality.
Furthermore, Nerayoff claimed that Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin also stole his idea on Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and utility tokens.
Per Nerayoff, Ethereum’s smart contract functionality and ICO were the only two things that have been successful for the crypto project. Notably, Nerayoff’s allegations have continued to raise questions about Ethereum’s technological underpinnings.
Nerayoff’s latest allegation comes a few hours after he promised to provide proof concerning Lubin and Buterin’s alleged fraudulent activities. In a November 12 tweet, the crypto advisor promised to share this proof within the next 4 – 5 days.
Past Allegations Against Ethereum Team
Recently, Nerayoff has been making shocking allegations against the Ethereum team, especially Lubin and Buterin. As reported earlier, he claimed that both Ethereum execs had secret dealings with SEC chair Gary Gensler and the agency’s immediate past chairman Jay Clayton.
In addition, Neayoff alleged that the fraud carried out by Ethereum’s founders is 1,000 times bigger than the ones perpetrated by FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF).
He recently accused the duo of sabotaging crypto and conducting fraudulent ICOs. To date, neither Buterin nor Lubin have responded to any of these allegations.
