Australia-based legal expert Bill Morgan criticizes Fox Business Senior Correspondent Charles Gasparino for attacking XRP’s verdict and current performance.

Australia-based lawyer Bill Morgan has criticized Charles Gasparino, Fox Business Senior Correspondent, for shading XRP price performance and its legal victory.

Fox Journalist Attacks XRP Ruling

For context, Gasparino recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to attack the soundness of Judge Analisa Torres’ verdict in the Ripple v. SEC case.

Describing the ruling as idiotic, Gasparino said the judge’s decision to split the baby – by giving the SEC and Ripple partial victories – has made the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York a laughing stock.

As expected, Gasparino faced intense criticism over his remark, with CryptoLaw.US pointing out that “the baby” was not split and is also not a security.

Additionally, CryptoLaw indicated that Judge Torres found Ripple’s programmatic XRP sales as non-securities after applying the Howey test to the transaction.

In response, Gasparino took a swipe at XRP’s current performance, stating that the fifth-largest cryptocurrency is trading as if it has been split.

Furthermore, Gasparino claimed that no United States-based securities lawyer considers Judge Torres’ decision to be a model of a sane interpretation of securities law.

Pro-XRP Lawyer Reacts

Reacting, Attorney Morgan challenged Gasparino’s claim by pointing out that securities lawyers associated with U.S.-based exchanges advised their clients to relist XRP based on the July 13 summary judgment.

Recall that multiple crypto exchanges in the U.S., including Coinbase and Kraken, relisted XRP after Judge Torres declared that the coin in itself is not a security.

Meanwhile, Attorney Morgan mentioned that he got the argument from prominent XRP YouTuber Moon Lambo, who addressed Gasparino’s consistent attack on Judge Torres’ ruling in his latest video.

“This point is not original. @MoonLamboio made it in his YouTube video yesterday, which I just listened to this morning, so credit to him,” he added

XRP Down 3% in 24 Hours

Meanwhile, at the time of writing, XRP was changing hands at $0.599, down 3% over the past 24 hours. According to CoinGecko data, XRP is also down 9% over the past seven days and 2.4% in the past two weeks.
