Attorney John Deaton slams Senator Elizabeth Warren for violating her oath by not engaging in actual oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Attorney John Deaton, the lawyer representing thousands of XRP holders in the SEC v. Ripple lawsuit, has leveled fresh misconduct allegations against US Senator Elizabeth Warren.
In a series of tweets, Attorney Deaton alleged that Senator Warren, who sits on the Banking Committee, violated her oath by not engaging in actual oversight of the SEC.
ELIZABETH WARREN VIOLATED HER OATH
As a Senator, sitting on the Banking Committee, @ewarren violated her oath. Her job is to provide and engage in actual oversight of the @SECGov.

Sen Warren Calls For Stringent Regulation Against Bitcoin
Deaton’s remarks come days after Warren made fresh attacks against crypto as part of her efforts to place a blanket ban on the emerging asset.
In a December 8 CNBC’s Squawk Box interview, Warren claimed that illicit actors have continued to use crypto assets in terrorist financing and money laundering.
Consequently, she urged the United States government to pursue a regulatory crackdown on crypto, including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Deaton Says Warren Conspired With SEC Chair
Reacting, Attorney Deaton noted that Senator Warren violated her oath by conspiring with SEC chair Gary Gensler. According to Deaton, the senator provided pre-arranged questions and answers to Gensler ahead of a congressional hearing.
Attorney Deaton described Gensler’s testimony as “fraudulent and coached.” He suggested that Senator Warren “needs to go” as there seems to be a conflict of interest in her approach to crypto regulations and her interactions with the SEC.
Per Deaton, despite Warren being a major Bitcoin critic and sitting on the Banking Committee that oversees the SEC, she has never asked Gensler about his multiple meetings with embattled FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF).
“Is she not asking certain questions because of her own ties to SBF’s parents? SBF’s father – Joe Bankman wrote Warren’s tax plan in 2016,” Attorney Deaton quizzed.
According to Deaton, Warren’s inability to request the meeting notes raises questions about the effectiveness of her oversight.
Warren Neglects Concerns of Ordinary Citizens
Furthermore, Attorney Deaton claimed that Warren neglected the concerns of ordinary citizens in favor of a broader political agenda.
Per Deaton, over 600 XRP holders, who are Warren’s constituents, urged her to inquire about the SEC regarding the commission’s lawsuit against Ripple.
Deaton stated that she ignored the request as staff from her office said, “the senator will not help considering the SEC sued a couple billionaires Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen.”
