Shiba Inu’s L2 network Shibarium has achieved a jaw-dropping feat by hitting a total transaction count of over 100 million.
Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium has stunned crypto community members after reaching a significant milestone of 100 million transactions.
The leading blockchain achieved the significant feat yesterday after the network processed 7.36 million daily transactions. As Shibarium’s activity spiked in recent weeks, the network’s total transaction count has reached an astounding 103.31 million.

Commenting on the development, the official X account of Shiba Inu described Shibarium’s 100M transaction record as a moonstone and not just a milestone.

It expressed gratitude to SHIB community members for helping Shibarium achieve the groundbreaking feat of over 100M transactions. Interestingly, Shiba Inu shared screenshots of its lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, conversation on ChatGPT.
The AI chatbot provided images depicting the community’s celebration after Shibarium successfully processed 1M, 10M, and 100M transactions.
Meanwhile, Shiba Inu’s official X account still used the medium to warn the community to be wary of scams.

Shibarium Daily Transaction Spikes
It bears mentioning that Shibarium reached the “moonstone” of 100 million transactions following a recent spike in its daily volume.
Shibarium had an inadequate start after it launched on the mainnet in August. Aside from encountering a technical glitch, Shibarium transaction volume lagged massively weeks after its mainnet launch.
At the time, the L2 blockchain’s daily transactions were around 15,000. However, those days are behind Shibarium, as its daily transactions have spiked tremendously since the beginning of this month.
Shibarium has been processing an average of over 7 million transactions since December 2. The only time Shibarium has processed less than 7M transactions since December 2 was on December 9, when the daily transaction plunged 6.8 million.
However, the figure rallied back to over 7 million the following day and has remained above the mark ever since. Per data from Shibariumscan, the network recorded a whopping 7.36 million transactions over the past 24 hours, bringing its total transaction count to 103,312,065 (103.31 million).
Other Shibarium metrics
It is worth noting that other Shibarium metrics have also recorded significant gains. The number of addresses interacting with the L2 blockchain has spiked to 1,307,746 (1.3 million), while the total blocks minted have surpassed 2M to 2,106,883 (2.1 million).
In addition, 8,640 digital assets have been launched on Shibarium mainnet. Furthermore, Shibarium’s total account now sits at 56,621.
