Shibarium Hits 1M Addresses Faster Than Arbirtrum and Optimism

Notably, the data considered a list of top L2 networks that achieved 1 million interacting wallets within the shortest time frame.

According to the data, Base, zkSync, Optimism, and Arbitrum were among the fastest-growing L2 networks. While it took Base 11 days to reach 1 million addresses, L2 networks like zkSync, Optimism, and Arbitrum achieved the milestone in 71 days, 191 days, and 303 days, respectively.

Although Shibarium was not included in the list, the Shiba Inu blockchain was fast in hitting 1 million addresses compared to other networks like zkSync, Optimism, and Arbitrum. It is worth mentioning that the Shiba Inu blockchain achieved the 1M address milestone barely 18 days after its mainnet launch.

Shibarium Boasts Impressive Stats Despite Technical Issues

Shibarium achieved the jaw-dropping feat in September despite embarking on an intensive scaling that lasted over a week. Recall that Shibarium encountered a technical issue shortly after its mainnet launch on August 16.

As a result, the team behind the canine-themed cryptocurrency scaled the network for over a week to resolve the issue. On August 28, Shibarium relaunched with all issues resolved. In just 8 days after its relaunch, Shibarium hit double milestones, as its transactions and interacting wallets surpassed the 1 million mark.

It is worth noting that Shibarium has gone ahead and recorded more impressive stats. In just four months, Shibarium has processed more than 200 million transactions.

At the time of writing this line, the total transactions stood at 216,030,830 (216.03 million), while the number of wallets that have interacted with the network is currently around 1,320,892 (1.32 million).

Furthermore, over 2.36 million blocks have been minted on the Shibarium mainnet at an average block time of 5.3 seconds.
