Shytoshi Kusama, the enigmatic leader of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, issues a trolling comment in reaction to the news that Dogecoin is developing a game.

In an exciting development, Jordan Jefferson, the CEO and co-founder of popular crypto wallet My Doge, recently announced that Dogecoin was making preparations to enter the gaming industry.

“Gaming on Dogecoin is coming,” Jefferson remarked in a recent tweet.

The famous software engineer attached a short video of what appeared to be a snippet from the game. In the video, three dogs bow to a warrior-like dog statue.

Shiba Inu Lead Reacts

As expected, the announcement triggered reactions from crypto enthusiasts anticipating the game’s release. However, the Shiba Inu ecosystem leader took a subtle shade at the upcoming project, saying, “**Laughs in Shiba Eternity**.”

This comment suggests that while Dogecoin is just starting to develop a game, Shiba Inu has made significant progress with its gaming project, dubbed Shiba Eternity. Furthermore, it indicates that Shiba Inu’s effort in the gaming space is far ahead of Dogecoin.

Shiba Inu Gaming Progress

It bears mentioning that Shiba Inu officially entered the gaming industry in October 2022. At the time, the ecosystem team launched the mobile version of Shiba Eternity, which saw widespread adoption.

Since its debut, the team has introduced significant enhancements to the game, including efforts to migrate it to Shibarium. The blockchain version of Shiba Eternity is currently in closed beta testing, with public access expected soon.

After successful testing with all glitches fixed, the game will launch on the Shibarium mainnet, allowing players to earn rewards through gameplay.

Unending Rivalry

Meanwhile, Kusama’s trolling reaction to Dogecoin’s upcoming game may not surprise crypto enthusiasts due to the projects’ rivalry. Investors have compared the projects using different metrics, ranging from utility to market dominance.

Launched in December 2013, Dogecoin ranks as the biggest memecoin with a market cap of $15.15 billion. Conversely, Shiba Inu, which launched in August 2020, currently stands as the second-biggest memecoin, boasting a valuation of $8.26 billion.

Kusama’s comment about Dogecoin’s upcoming game clearly indicates that the projects’ rivalry is unlikely to end anytime soon.
