Following Brave’s integration with Cardano, Charles Hoskinson indicates plans to unveil more related announcements later this year.
In an interesting development, Input Output, Cardano’s research and development arm, announced a partnership with Web3 browser Brave to integrate Cardano into the Brave Wallet.
Benefits of Brave’s Integration of Cardano
Through this integration, over 70 million Brave users and other crypto enthusiasts can gain access to Cardano native tokens (CNTs), including ADA and NIGHT. Hence, users can send and receive Cardano assets within the Brave Wallet.
Before the announcement, Brave already supported other prominent blockchain networks, including Ethereum and Solana. With Cardano’s integration, Brave is gradually becoming a one-stop platform for Web3 users. Consequently, users can swap CNTs with other supported assets without installing multiple wallets.
In addition to token management, the partnership will support Cardano’s on-chain governance, allowing users to vote on network proposals without leaving Brave’s in-browser wallet.
Brave and Cardano Executives React
Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave, noted that the partnership underscores the team’s dedication to maximizing interoperability for user choice. He noted that users will now have more flexibility in selecting tokens, dApps, and blockchains.
Eich noted that integrating Cardano into the Brave Wallet broadens its multi-chain capabilities while strengthening security, enabling governance participation, and improving the overall user experience.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson also commented on the collaboration, which he described as a natural fit. He expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, indicating that Brave’s 70 million users can now access Cardano and its privacy-focused sidechain, Midnight.
He noted that VPN providers and advertising companies might have ‘heart attacks’ following Midnight’s integration into Brave. According to Hoskinson, Cardano and Brave share a similar vision focused on enhancing security and accessibility in Web3.
And VPNs 🙂

More Integration Incoming?
In a follow-up statement, Hoskinson stated that the Brave announcement marks the first of a series of integrations the Cardano team would unveil in the Summer and Fall of 2025. He referred to these upcoming integrations as ‘fixing the broken windows deals,’ originating from earlier negotiations revolving around Midnight.
While this integration and others were initially planned for 2022, Hoskinson disclosed that a certain entity mishandled things, stalling negotiations. Nonetheless, he teased that Cardano still has dozens of related deals like the Brave integration in the works.
He said the team will unveil most of these integrations later this year, particularly in the Summer and Fall, expanding CNTs’ support to multiple wallets, platforms, and dApps.
The Brave announcement is the first in a series that will come out throughout the Summer and Fall that I term the fixing broken windows deals that originated from Midnight negotiations.
It was long overdue, they originally could have been engaged in 2022. A certain entity…
