More than 600 million XRP have been transferred in multiple transactions linked to Ripple and other unknown entities.

Interestingly, these movements are occurring even as Ripple has yet to initiate its usual 1 billion XRP unlock for the new month.

Notably, Whale Alert highlighted the ongoing XRP movements on its official X handle. According to a series of updates, Ripple and other unidentified entities moved 630 million XRP across five transactions. At the current price of $2.17 per token, this total is valued at approximately $1.36 billion.

Latest Transfers

The first of the latest transfers occurred on June 1, 2025, at 11:00 p.m. (UTC). Whale Alert reported that an unknown wallet transferred 330 million XRP to an address affiliated with Ripple in that transaction.

However, data from XRPScan confirmed that the transaction was an in-house transfer between two Ripple wallets. Specifically, the payments company transferred the 330 million XRP from its address ‘Ripple 26’ to another tagged ‘Ripple 1.’

Two minutes later, the ‘Ripple 26’ wallet transferred 170 million XRP to another blockchain wallet belonging to the company tagged ‘Ripple 15.’

Ripple Locks 670M XRP in Escrow

After these transfers, Ripple locked up 670 million XRP in escrow across two transactions. The first transaction locked 200 million XRP in escrow using one of its wallets, tagged “Ripple 14.”

In addition, the company locked the remaining 470 million in escrow using its “Ripple 15” wallet, which received 170 million XRP during Ripple’s latest shuffling.

Ripple’s latest escrow activity departs from its usual pattern of releasing up to 1 billion XRP on the first day of a new month and then re-locking roughly 700 million tokens into escrow. This latest pattern has been observed in recent months, including May 2025.

On May 1, Ripple first shuffled 1 billion XRP among its wallets and later re-locked 700 million XRP. These transactions occurred even before Ripple initiated its monthly escrow release of 1 billion tokens.

However, after the transactions, Ripple unlocked the usual 1 billion XRP the following day, May 2, 2025.

Ripple Moves Another 130M XRP

Meanwhile, after locking 670 million XRP in escrow, XRP-related movements continued, with Ripple still actively involved.

On June 1, around 11:14 p.m. (UTC), Ripple sent 50 million XRP from “Ripple 39” to an unknown wallet, tagged “rGBvE…9aBk2.” The same source address, Ripple 39, sent 40 million XRP each to two unknown wallets: “rHVjf…QsZW7” and “rDK26…ziAee.” These transactions bring Ripple 39’s total transfer for June 2025 to 130 million XRP.

Overall, Ripple has moved 630 million XRP already this month, with 470 million of these tokens locked in escrow. In the meantime, the company has not released the usual 1 billion XRP from escrow for June 2025.
