XRP Loyalty Deserves More Than Words: Leading Exchange

Uphold, one of the largest U.S.-based crypto exchanges, has hinted at a major upcoming feature for XRP holders.

In a post on X, the platform stated that the loyalty of the XRP Army is about to be recognized with more than just words. This statement stirred discussions that Uphold could be on the verge of launching its long-awaited XRP yield service.

Uphold’s Unique Bond with XRP Holders

Uphold has long been regarded as the “XRP exchange”. Notably, it holds over $6 billion worth of XRP on behalf of users, more than ten times the amount of Bitcoin stored on the platform.

According to CEO Simon McLoughlin, these holdings are not hype-driven but built on trust, with users continuing to support the exchange even during turbulent times.

For context, Uphold was the only major U.S. exchange that refused to delist XRP when the SEC filed its lawsuit against Ripple in late 2020. This decision cemented its reputation within the XRP community, distinguishing it from rivals like Coinbase, Kraken, and Binance.US, which temporarily suspended XRP trading for American users.

Yield Feature Nearing Launch

In September, Uphold confirmed it is “closer than ever” to delivering yield on XRP, a feature that has been consistently requested by the community. The exchange noted that it had identified “several promising ways to deliver it,” suggesting that the upcoming announcement could be linked to this loyalty-focused message.

This move comes at a time when XRP is seeing new opportunities in decentralized finance. Flare Network’s FAssets protocol has unlocked FXRP. This tokenized version of XRP gives holders access to lending, trading, stablecoin minting, and even liquid staking. Demand has already proven intense, with the first week’s 5 million FXRP cap reached in just hours.

Loyalty Turning into Opportunity

Uphold’s tweet suggests that the loyalty of XRP holders, which carried the exchange and its users through the toughest chapters of the Ripple-SEC saga, is now set to be rewarded in a tangible way.

In July, Uphold, in partnership with Zebec Network, airdropped ZBCN tokens to U.S. users holding at least 25,000 XRP.

The move continues Uphold’s trend of rewarding XRP holders, following a $50,000 XRP giveaway during the recent XRP Vegas 2025 event.

Before that, the exchange ran an XRP Sweepstakes promotion that spanned several months. The final round in October 2024 offered a $20,000 XRP grand prize and $5,000 split among five runners-up.

Meanwhile, in December 2023, Uphold launched Uphold Vault, an assisted self-custody solution that gave early access exclusively to XRP holders.

Given its rich history of XRP-focused campaigns and rewards, some users now speculate that the platform’s oldest supporters could even receive a special gift to further recognize their loyalty.

As Uphold put it, this loyalty deserves more than words, and soon, XRP holders will find out exactly what that means.
