Simplex Trading, LLC, a broker-dealer firm based in Chicago, Illinois, has become the latest American company to report a significant XRP ETF investment.
In its Q3 2026 Form 13F-HR, filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Nov. 4, 2026, the firm disclosed a position in Grayscale’s XRP ETF worth about $13.97 million as of Sept. 30, 2026.
Simplex operates as an SEC-registered broker-dealer incorporated in Delaware. The firm mainly provides market-making services across U.S. exchange-traded options, equity securities, and futures.
Its latest quarterly filing shows a total 13F portfolio worth $183.8 billion, spread across 9,112 positions. Although the $13.97 million GXRP holding accounts for a small part of that portfolio, it represents a major increase from the firm’s earlier investment in the fund.
Simplex Expands XRP ETF Exposure
Simplex first reported an investment in Grayscale’s XRP ETF in Q4 2025, when it held just 340 shares. The position had minimal reported value at the time.
The firm later appeared among institutional investors reporting holdings in the Bitwise XRP ETF during the Q2 2026 reporting period. Its filing for that quarter carried a date of Aug. 12, 2026.
By the end of Q3 2026, covering holdings through Sept. 30, Simplex had greatly increased its Grayscale XRP ETF position. Its latest filing placed the fair market value of the holding at $13.97 million, and this shows how much its reported GXRP exposure had grown since its initial purchase.
The Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (GXRP) began trading on NYSE Arca on Nov. 24, 2025, after converting from a private trust structure. The fund holds actual XRP through Coinbase Custody Trust Company and charges an annual expense ratio of 0.35%.
Its initial fee waiver ended in February 2026. At press time, GXRP trades at $25.23 per share, has approximately 3.35 million outstanding shares, and holds around $85 million in assets under management (AUM).
More Wall Street Firms Report Holdings in XRP ETFs
Simplex’s latest disclosure comes as more Q3 2026 Form 13F filings begin appearing on the SEC’s EDGAR database. These reports add to the growing number of disclosures showing that institutional investment managers across the United States hold regulated XRP investment products.
Goldman Sachs currently has the largest reported position among institutional investors of XRP ETFs. Its Q2 2026 filing showed $86.5 million invested across five spot XRP ETFs from Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Canary Capital, 21Shares, and Grayscale.
Goldman previously increased its holdings to $153.8 million in Q4 2025 before selling its entire position in Q1 2026. The bank returned to the XRP ETF market in Q2 2026 and rebuilt its holdings.
Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, and Bank of America have also reported XRP ETF holdings in their recent 13F filings.
UMB Private Wealth Management disclosed a $100,316 position in the Franklin XRP ETF (XRPZ) in its Q3 2026 report. Meanwhile, AdvisorNet Financial also reported holding 12,380 shares of the Franklin XRP ETF, worth approximately $177,800.
Farther Finance Advisors reported eight separate positions XRP ETFs in its Q3 2026 filing. These holdings covered seven different fund providers and amounted to 36,531 shares.
Overall, aggregate 13F data now shows that at least 30 major institutions, including Millennium Management and Citadel, have reported exposure to XRP ETFs.
The six U.S. spot XRP ETFs collectively hold $1.48 billion in net assets at press time. This represents approximately 1.8% of XRP’s total market cap. The Bitwise XRP ETF currently leads the group with roughly $540 million in AUM after surpassing the $500 million mark in August 2026.
