Analyst EGRAG recently issued a daring forecast for Ethereum to surge to $33,000, simultaneously predicting a bold price move for XRP in such a scenario.
In a tweet, EGRAG highlighted a series of long-term technical patterns suggesting that ETH could climb far higher than its current level of $4,111. According to his analysis, Ethereum has a history of surpassing standard breakout targets.
How Ethereum Price Can Hit $33,000
The previous two major formations—a bull flag and a rectangle continuation pattern—saw ETH overshoot their measured targets by 145% and 181%, respectively. Averaging these moves gives a typical overshoot of around 163%.
Based on the current descending broadening wedge pattern, the measured breakout move indicates a potential ETH price of about $12,000. However, applying the historical overshoot average, EGRAG projects that Ethereum could climb as high as $33,000 in the next major rally.
For context, Ethereum would need to soar by 637% to reach $33,000 from its present price of $4,111. At this level, Ethereum’s market cap would be approximately $4 trillion.
Given this promising outlook for the largest altcoin in the market, EGRAG believes Ethereum’s momentum could spill over to XRP, the second-largest altcoin by market cap.
XRP Price if Ethereum Reaches $33K
Alongside his $33,000 Ethereum projection, EGRAG delivered a similarly bold forecast for XRP. With XRP currently trading at $2.85, the analyst declared that “XRP WILL DO IT TO $33,” describing it as a “written code.”
Reaching $33 from the current level would require XRP to surge by 1,000%. In other words, EGRAG is calling for XRP to outperform Ethereum in its journey to the $33,000 price level. At this $33 target, XRP’s market cap would be approximately $2 trillion.
In this latest analysis, EGRAG did not provide the same technical foundations to support XRP price reaching $33 as it did for Ethereum. However, in separate updates in the past, he has leveraged technical analysis to predict XRP prices as high as $27 to $45.
For instance, EGRAG used Fibonacci extensions from XRP’s 2018 high and 2020 low to project a target of $31. This aligns with the 1.618 Fib level—the same extension he applied when forecasting Ethereum at $8,000.
He also identified a massive contracting triangle on XRP’s long-term chart, noting that its breakout in late 2024 supports the same bullish outlook. According to EGRAG, measuring the triangle’s height also produces a target of $31 to $33.
XRP to $50 if Ethereum Reaches $62,000
EGRAG is not the only analyst predicting ambitious price targets for XRP based on Ethereum’s trajectory.
XRP analyst Cryptoinsightuk suggested that if Ethereum hits $62,000, as predicted by Fundstrat’s Tom Lee, XRP could surge to $50. This price would give it a market cap of around $3 trillion.
He argued that just as Ethereum’s bold forecasts are gaining mainstream attention, XRP deserves similar consideration, despite ongoing skepticism.
