Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP Price Analysis: Key Levels as September Ends

Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP recorded modest gains over the latest 24-hour period on September 30, while their completed daily charts remained below recent resistance zones.

CoinGecko placed Bitcoin at $83,323, up 0.35% over 24 hours. Ethereum traded at $2,673.47, gaining 0.41%, while XRP stood near $1.49, up 0.73%. Aggregate trading volumes were approximately $28.21 billion, $15.49 billion, and $3.89 billion, respectively. These figures cover the broader market rather than turnover on a single exchange.

The small advances had not taken any of the three assets above the resistance areas identified in their recent daily structures. The September 30 daily session remained open, leaving its closing direction unconfirmed.

Bitcoin Holds Above Its Recent Support Zone

Bitcoin closed September 29 at $83,640, a 0.19% increase from the preceding close of $83,484. The session reached $84,486 before finishing below that high, continuing the consolidation that followed the September 21–23 peaks near $87,250–$87,330.

The nearest support area sits around $82,580–$82,940. This zone includes the September 28 low of $82,581 and the September 24 low of $82,941. September 29 also found buying above the lower boundary, with a session low of $82,796.

Overhead, approximately $84,490–$85,210 contains several recent highs, including the September 29 peak and September 25 high of $85,208. A daily close above the upper boundary, followed by a successful hold of the reclaimed area, would strengthen the case for another test of $87,250–$87,330.

That recovery scenario would weaken if price returned below the reclaimed resistance band. A daily close beneath $82,580 would instead break the recent support structure and bring the earlier $80,150–$80,910 trading area into focus.

The 14-period daily RSI measured approximately 59.8 in the September sample, above its 50 midpoint but below the conventional 70 overbought threshold.

Ethereum Remains Below the $2,740 Resistance Area

Ethereum closed September 29 at $2,677.38, down 0.39% from $2,687.96 a day earlier. During the session, ETH reached $2,742.68 but could not sustain that advance into the daily close.

Ethereum remains below $2,740–$2,743 resistance, with support around $2,635–$2,652. CoinGecko; chart by The Crypto Basic.

The rejection left approximately $2,740–$2,743 as immediate resistance. The September 25 high of $2,739.52 and September 29 peak define this narrow area. Above it, the September 23 and September 21 highs establish another resistance zone near $2,787–$2,804.

A completed daily close above $2,743, followed by price holding that level, would support a retest of the higher band. An intraday move above resistance alone would leave that scenario unconfirmed, particularly after the latest session’s retreat from its high.

Support lies around $2,635–$2,652, encompassing the September 24 and September 29 lows. Ethereum also approached this area on September 28 before recovering. A daily close beneath $2,635 would weaken the current consolidation and expose the September 20 low near $2,568.

ETH’s sample-based daily RSI stood near 61.1. Momentum remained above the midpoint, although price had yet to reclaim the late-September highs.

XRP Trades Near the Lower End of Its Recent Range

XRP ended September 29 at approximately $1.49, down 0.67% from the previous close. The daily session spanned roughly $1.47–$1.56, with the close near the lower end of that range.

The $1.45–$1.47 area is the nearest support band. It includes the September 24 low and lows recorded on September 28–29. A daily close below $1.45 would weaken that support and bring the earlier $1.37–$1.41 area back into consideration.

For an upside recovery, XRP first needs to reclaim approximately $1.53–$1.56, an area containing several recent daily highs. A close above $1.56, followed by a hold of the reclaimed band, would support a move toward the September resistance cluster at $1.61–$1.66.

A return below $1.53 after such a breakout would weaken that scenario. Until resistance is reclaimed or support breaks, the completed candles continue to describe a pullback within the broader September advance.

XRP’s sample-based daily RSI measured around 55.6, lower than the corresponding Bitcoin and Ethereum readings. Its positive rolling 24-hour change does not reverse the preceding daily loss: the measurements cover different time windows.
