XRP Has Four Major Dates Packed Into One Week as October Begins

XRP enters October with several major developments lining up in quick succession, putting renewed attention on the asset and its broader ecosystem.

The XRP ecosystem is heading into a packed first full week of October, with major events scheduled across institutional finance, public markets, and the XRP Ledger. Between Oct. 3 and Oct. 9, attention will shift from XRP Seoul to Evernorth’s merger close, its planned Nasdaq debut, and an important XRPL upgrade.

The dates do not guarantee any specific XRP price reaction, but they put several separate developments on the calendar within days of each other.

Oct. 3: XRP Seoul Brings Banks and Ripple Together

The first event arrives on Oct. 3, when XRP Seoul 2026 takes place at the Grand Hyatt Seoul.

The conference is focused on institutional blockchain use, digital assets, and real-world on-chain applications. Representatives from Kbank, JB Bank, Kakao Bank, and Woori Bank appear on the speaker list, alongside executives from Kyobo Securities and Siam Commercial Bank. Ripple President Monica Long and RippleX SVP Markus Infanger are also scheduled to attend.

One panel will specifically cover the move from cross-border payments to tokenized deposits, while another will examine how Ripple is bringing XRP utility into institutional finance.

Oct. 7: Evernorth Deal Expected to Close

The next date is Oct. 7, when Evernorth expects to complete its combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II.

Armada shareholders approved the transaction at their Sept. 30 meeting. Evernorth said the deal should bring in roughly $300 million in cash before expenses, including $225 million from private placements, $30 million from convertible-note financing, and about $48 million remaining in Armada’s trust.

Separate from that cash, investors are also contributing XRP. Evernorth expects to control roughly 473 million XRP at closing. The broader transaction and related placements have brought in more than $1 billion for the company’s XRP-focused treasury strategy.

That 473 million figure is not one fresh market purchase. Evernorth has already bought 84.37 million XRP for about $214 million, while the rest includes committed and contributed XRP tied to the deal.

Oct. 8: XRPN Expected to Start Trading on Nasdaq

If the merger completes on schedule, Evernorth’s Class A shares are expected to begin trading on Nasdaq under XRPN on Oct. 8.

Evernorth plans to do more than hold XRP on its balance sheet. Its strategy includes using XRP across yield opportunities, ecosystem projects and capital-market activity in an effort to increase XRP exposure per share over time.

The company is backed by investors including Ripple, SBI Group, Arrington Capital, Pantera Capital, Kraken and GSR.

Oct. 9: XRPL Upgrade Window Comes Into Focus

The final date is Oct. 9, when a Batch-related XRPL amendment is expected to activate if validator support remains high enough.

XRPL’s Batch functionality is designed to let multiple transactions execute as one grouped operation, which can support use cases such as combined payments, swaps, and asset delivery. Recent XRPL software updates also introduced fixBatchV1_2, which the official XRPL team expects to enable on Oct. 9 if validator backing holds.

That leaves XRP with four separate events in one week: institutional discussions on Oct. 3, Evernorth’s expected close on Oct. 7, XRPN’s planned Nasdaq debut on Oct. 8, and an XRPL protocol milestone on Oct. 9.
