XRP Third Test of $1.70 Could Decide Whether Rally Extends or Correction Deepens

XRP is consolidating near $1.50 as its four-hour structure points to another possible test of $1.65-$1.70, with RSI divergence and deeper support levels in focus.

XRP is consolidating near $1.50 following its latest rebound, and the four-hour structure suggests another potential push toward the $1.65-$1.70 resistance zone.

The XRP chart indicates this could mark the third major test of the area, with momentum already showing signs of weakening.

XRP price structure faces third test of 1.70
XRP’s four-hour chart shows price consolidating near $1.50 below resistance at $1.53 and the broader $1.65-$1.70 zone. RSI is recovering but remains beneath a descending momentum trendline, while downside support sits near $1.43, $1.26, $1.10, and $0.87.

At the time of writing, XRP was trading around $1.4995 on the chart, after opening the current four-hour candle near $1.4866 and reaching a high of $1.5090.

Price is now compressed inside a small rising structure just below the first resistance levels, with buyers attempting to hold the recovery above the recent local lows.

XRP First Needs to Clear $1.53

The nearest resistance sits around $1.5315, marked by the 0.236 Fibonacci level.

A move above this area would open the way toward the larger resistance band beginning around $1.64. The chart marks several levels inside this zone, including $1.6432, $1.6568, and $1.7052.

From $1.4995, XRP would need to rise about 10% to reach $1.65 and roughly 13.4% to test $1.70.

This is the area where the current wave structure becomes important. The chart suggests XRP price may still have one more upward leg to complete before the latest advance becomes exhausted.

$1.65-$1.70 Becomes the Main Test

XRP has spent several weeks trading below the broader $1.65-$1.70 region, making this the key ceiling for the current recovery.

The chart’s Elliott Wave structure places the asset inside a developing fifth wave. If the smaller subwaves are still incomplete, another move toward this resistance pocket could finish that sequence.

However, the projected upside is already approaching important Fibonacci extensions. This reduces the distance between current price and the area where the structure could begin losing momentum.

A clean breakout above $1.70 would improve the setup, but the stronger confirmation level sits closer to $1.80.

RSI Is Showing a Potential Warning

The lower panel adds another layer to the setup.

RSI currently stands near 49.27, while its moving average is around 46.91. Momentum has recovered from recent lows, but RSI remains below a descending trendline drawn from earlier peaks.

If XRP pushes toward $1.65-$1.70 while RSI fails to exceed its previous high, the chart would produce another bearish divergence.

That would mean price is making a higher high while momentum makes a lower high, a structure that can appear near the end of an advance.

Downside Levels if the Move Exhausts

If the next resistance test fails, the chart identifies several support areas below current price.

The first sits near $1.4310, followed by $1.3462.

A larger correction would bring $1.2614-$1.2384 into focus. From $1.4995, a decline to $1.26 would represent roughly 16% downside.

Below that, the chart maps another major support zone around $1.10, followed by the deeper $0.87 area. Those moves would represent declines of about 27% and 42%, respectively, from the current level.

These remain conditional downside scenarios rather than confirmed targets.

The structure would change materially if XRP pushes above roughly $1.80 while RSI also breaks above its previous momentum high. Until then, the key sequence remains a possible final move toward $1.65-$1.70, followed by a test of whether momentum can support further continuation.
