ScamDaddy rejects claims of a 300% XRP daily candle and $1,000 XRP this year, as historical data shows how large those moves would need to be.
Industry expert ScamDaddy disputes XRP forecasts circulating on X; he pushes back against the optimism.
His comments came after XRP community member Seer raised the possibility of XRP suddenly breaking away from its current range with a 300% daily move. Seer pointed to XRP’s explosive price action in April 2017 as evidence that unusually large candles have occurred before.
ScamDaddy responded simply:
“XRP will never have a 300% daily candle.”
Why XRP 300% Daily Candle
The recent Quant (QNT) surge may be one reason the XRP community is again debating whether XRP can suddenly break out with an unusually large daily candle.
Quant climbed from around $65 to above $350 within roughly a week, a gain of more than 300% over several days, while some individual sessions recorded much smaller—but still sharp—gains.
At its most aggressive point, reports placed QNT’s single-day gain between roughly 87% and 145%, depending on the exchange and measurement window. That is still far short of a 300% daily candle.
XRP Has Recorded Triple-Digit Daily Gains Before
Historical data shows XRP has experienced extraordinary single-day moves, although the exact readings differ by data provider.
CoinMarketCap’s April 2, 2017 snapshot recorded XRP up 173.71% over 24 hours, when the asset traded near $0.061. Another historical dataset places the open-to-close move that day close to 200%.
This confirms that XRP has previously recorded a triple-digit daily gain, but neither dataset shows a 300% daily increase.
At XRP’s current price near $1.49, a 300% gain would mathematically take the asset to roughly $5.96 in one day. With around 63.09 billion XRP circulating, that price would imply a market cap near $376 billion, assuming supply remained unchanged.
$1,000 XRP Call Also Draws Criticism
ScamDaddy also responded to a separate exchange involving a $1,000 XRP forecast.
Aussie XRP said XRP would reach $1,000 this year while quoting market commentator Zach Rector. However, Rector’s original statement was considerably more restrained.
Rector said he expects XRP to have a strong fourth quarter and believes a breakout is coming, but specifically said the asset is “definitely not heading to $1000 by EOY.”
ScamDaddy described belief in the $1,000 call as either “extreme delusion” or desperation.
The mathematics show how large such a move would be. From approximately $1.49, XRP would need to rise more than 67,000% to reach $1,000.
Using the current circulating supply, a $1,000 XRP price would correspond to a market cap of roughly $63 trillion if supply remained around current levels.
Neither the 300% daily-candle claim nor the $1,000 year-end call is supported by a defined technical setup in the posts.
XRP’s history confirms that extremely large percentage moves can occur, particularly from much lower valuations, but the scale required changes significantly as the asset’s market cap grows.
