A majority of Russians do not see practical applications for cryptocurrencies, even if they were legalized, according to a Rambler&Co survey cited by TASS.
The survey found that 69% of respondents said they could not identify any real-world use cases for cryptocurrencies under a legalized framework. Separately, 52% said they were unsure how legalization would affect their daily lives because they do not use digital assets.
Only 6% of those surveyed said they were familiar with the cryptocurrency sector and had practical experience using digital assets.
The findings also showed limited public understanding of the technology, with 54% of respondents saying they know little to nothing about how cryptocurrencies work, suggesting relatively low awareness and willingness to adopt them.
