Arthur Hayes Buys Another $1.2M in ETH as Ethereum Nears $2,000

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes expanded his Ethereum holdings by purchasing 645 ETH, valued at approximately $1.2 million, in a single transaction executed through FalconX around nine hours ago.

The latest acquisition brings Hayes’ total Ethereum purchases since July 15 to 3,915 ETH, worth approximately $7.47 million. The accumulated position was built at an average purchase price of $1,909 per ETH.

Hayes’ continued buying comes as Ethereum nears the closely watched $2,000 psychological threshold. At the time of writing, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency was trading at $1,963, representing a 4.4% gain over the previous 24 hours.
