Aurora Explorer confirmed that the Aurora mainnet has resumed block production after a temporary network outage that disrupted operations earlier on Monday.
The outage began at 02:16:11 UTC, according to blockchain monitoring platform Onchain Lens, which reported that the network went offline and remained unavailable until block production resumed.

Aurora is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible network built on the NEAR Protocol, allowing developers to deploy Ethereum applications and smart contracts with lower transaction costs. The project raised $12 million in a 2021 funding round backed by Pantera Capital, Dragonfly Capital, and Electric Capital.
The latest disruption comes as the network has experienced a sharp decline in activity over the past several years. Data from DefiLlama shows Aurora’s total value locked (TVL) reached a peak of nearly $2.5 billion in 2022 before falling about 99% to approximately $4.65 million.
