Bitcoin’s Bull Score jumped from 30 to 80 in one week as eight of 10 indicators turned bullish, according to CryptoQuant, which said the cryptocurrency has entered the early phase of a new bull market.

Bitcoin has gained 24% since Aug. 17 to reach $80,000, while the Bull Score posted its strongest reading since Oct. 6, 2025.

Moreover, spot-market buying is accelerating at the strongest month-over-month rate seen since late December. Meanwhile, demand in both spot and futures markets is rising together for the first time since early October 2025.

CryptoQuant said confirmation of the bull market would still require Bitcoin to close above its 365-day moving average, currently near $83,000.

Short-term indicators, however, suggest the market may be overheating. Traders’ unrealized profit margin climbed to 20.5%, a level not seen since June 2025. Whale profit-taking also surged, reaching an all-time high of $614 million on Aug. 20.

Exchange inflows of Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP have also increased, indicating potential near-term selling pressure.
