
MARA sold about 23,093 Bitcoin for $1.63 billion in the first half of 2026, at an average price of roughly $70,631 per token, the company disclosed.
The company directed the cash from those transactions toward operating expenses, potential growth opportunities and liquidity requirements.
MARA’s Bitcoin holdings stood at 35,577 BTC on June 30, with a value of approximately $2.08 billion.
Separately, the Bitcoin miner secured $600 million in new loans from Two Prime and Coinbase on Aug. 4, backed by 18,750 BTC. A portion of the financing went toward the Long Ridge acquisition.
