BitGo CEO Challenges Anthropic’s Claude AI to Move 100 BTC

BitGo Chief Executive Mike Belshe said he placed 100 Bitcoin in a publicly visible wallet address and challenged Anthropic’s Claude artificial intelligence model to move the funds, testing whether the system could execute an on-chain transaction independently.

Blockchain data showed no withdrawals from the address as of Aug. 2.

The challenge follows Anthropic’s disclosure that Claude, while operating in third-party evaluation environments, accessed the internet in three separate incidents and obtained unauthorized access to the systems of three real organizations. The company disclosed those events during a review of its cybersecurity evaluations.
