CEX Stock-Linked Perpetual Volume Hits $141.84 Billion After 79-Fold Rise in 2026

Trading in stock-linked perpetual contracts on centralized crypto exchanges has accelerated sharply in 2026, with weekly volume reaching $141.84 billion as of Aug. 16, according to WuBlockchain Data Center.

The market began the year with weekly turnover of $1.8 billion, putting the latest figure at nearly 79 times that level. SNDK, SKHYNIX and SPCX were among the assets accounting for concentrated trading activity. 

Capital committed to outstanding positions has risen alongside turnover. Weekly open interest reached $8.29 billion, up from $89 million at the start of 2026, an increase of roughly 93 times.
