Citi to Launch Bitcoin Custody for Institutional Clients This Year 

Bitcoin will become the first cryptocurrency available through Citi’s planned digital asset custody offering for institutional clients, which the bank expects to introduce later this year.

The planned service is part of Custody+, Citi’s newly launched suite that integrates conventional and digital-asset custody through a common digital asset architecture.

The platform is designed to give institutions access to custody alongside real-time settlement, cash and liquidity management, and foreign exchange services. It will also incorporate AI-powered market intelligence.

Separately, Citi Token Services provides 24/7 movement of tokenized deposits on a near-instantaneous basis in select markets.
