Core Lightning Warns Node Operators Ahead of Security Release After AI Vulnerability Reports

Core Lightning node operators are being strongly encouraged to install a forthcoming security update. Those who choose not to upgrade are advised to take their nodes offline as maintainers address a series of AI-generated vulnerability reports.

The project has received multiple AI-generated reports over the past several weeks, prompting work on fixes for the planned security release.

Technical information about the vulnerabilities is being withheld under an approximately two-week disclosure embargo. The maintainers have not published a CVE or a comprehensive security advisory.
