A Digital Currency Group (DCG) subsidiary is considering an investment of roughly 200,000 ZEC through Grayscale’s Zcash Trust as Grayscale moves forward with plans to list the product on NYSE Arca.
The potential purchase remains under discussion and is not binding, according to Grayscale’s latest regulatory filing. The amount could be raised or lowered, while the transaction could also be abandoned entirely.
Grayscale disclosed the talks in its fourth amended S-3 registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The filing proposes a new name for the trust and the ticker ZCSH for its shares once the registration statement becomes effective.
ZEC was trading at $556.66 at the time of the update, having gained 10% over the previous 24 hours.
