Ethereum Validator Exit Queue Falls to Zero as 2.48 Million ETH Awaits Staking

Ethereum

Ethereum validators can now unstake immediately after the network’s withdrawal queue was cleared. Meanwhile, demand to join the network continues to exceed available capacity, leaving new validators facing an estimated 43-day wait before they can begin staking.

Data cited by blockchain analytics platform Arkham from Beaconcha shows that no validators are currently waiting to exit Ethereum’s staking system, marking a sharp shift from September 2025, when the exit queue exceeded 2.6 million ETH.

At the same time, approximately 2.48 million ETH is queued for entry into staking, reflecting continued interest in securing the network despite the extended onboarding period. Based on current network conditions, new validators are expected to wait about 43 days before their stake becomes active.

Ethereum currently has about 40.9 million ETH staked, representing 33.55% of the cryptocurrency’s total supply. The network is supported by roughly 885,000 active validators, with staking participants earning an average annual percentage rate (APR) of 2.64%.
