Geodnet’s native token, GEOD, climbed 46% on Sunday after South Korea’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges announced new listings for the asset, boosting its exposure to local traders.
Upbit, the country’s largest crypto exchange, said it would launch GEOD/KRW, GEOD/USDT, and GEOD/BTC trading pairs at 3:00 p.m. local time on July 27. Shortly afterward, Bithumb, South Korea’s second-largest exchange, announced it would list the GEOD/KRW trading pair, with trading scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. local time the same day.
Geodnet is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) project that uses a worldwide network of reference stations to provide highly accurate location correction data.
Following the listing announcements, GEOD rose to $0.3118, marking a 46% gain. Despite the rally, the token remains 16.7% below its all-time high of $0.3743, which was reached on Jan. 25, 2025.Ā
According to CoinGecko, GEOD is currently the 210th-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
