Grant Cardone, CEO of U.S. real estate investment firm Cardone Capital, said he views Bitcoin as “portable digital property,” drawing parallels between the cryptocurrency and real estate.
In a recent interview with DraperTV, Cardone said he has privately supported Bitcoin for 13 years, despite being best known as a real estate investor.
Cardone compared Bitcoin with property ownership, describing it as “real estate without the gutters” because it does not involve expenses and operational issues such as HVAC systems, roofs, siding, tenants, termites, evictions, or property taxes.
Cardone, who said he has invested in real estate for 40 years, also argued that there is “never a bad time to buy real estate” for investors who hold assets long enough, avoid excessive leverage, and maintain cash flow.
