Hashdex has begun liquidating its DEFI spot Bitcoin ETF after the fund stopped trading on NYSE Arca on Aug. 17, with a delisting set to follow.
The decision to wind down the fund took into account its assets under management (AUM), operating costs, and trading liquidity.
The liquidation comes as U.S. spot crypto ETFs continue to draw net inflows. Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $189 million in net inflows on Aug. 18, according to SoSoValue.
Spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $71.468 million on the same day, with BlackRock’s ETHA accounting for $64.6814 million of the total.
