Veteran macro investor Jordi Visser said Bitcoin is increasingly viewed as an asset rather than a replacement for the U.S. dollar, arguing that it is unlikely to become a global currency or displace the U.S. dollar.

Speaking on Anthony Pompliano’s podcast, Visser said stablecoins are better positioned to replace the SWIFT financial-messaging network for cross-border payments.

Visser also said the most lucrative phase of the artificial intelligence investment cycle may have already passed, while emphasizing that the broader AI theme remains intact.

As the boundaries between traditional finance and the cryptocurrency industry continue to narrow, Visser said tokenization and stablecoin infrastructure could reach mainstream adoption sooner than many market participants expect.
