Metaplanet to Invest 2,100 BTC in $134.6M Deal for U.S. Bitcoin Treasury Platform

Japan-listed Metaplanet (TSE: 3350) is set to own approximately 95.7% of Nasdaq-listed Super League Enterprise, which will become the Japanese company’s U.S. vehicle for its Bitcoin treasury operations.

Under the agreement, Metaplanet’s U.S. unit will provide assets totaling about $134.6 million, comprising 2,100 BTC valued at approximately $132.1 million and $2.5 million in cash.

In exchange, Metaplanet will receive a combination of Super League preferred stock, common stock, and warrants.

Following the transaction’s closing, Super League will operate as Superplanet, Inc., while its Nasdaq ticker is expected to change from SLE to SUPA.
