Norway’s Government Pension Fund Global has emerged as a shareholder in BitMine Immersion Technologies, giving the sovereign wealth fund indirect exposure to ETH through the crypto treasury company.
Specifically, the fund owned roughly 6.15 million BitMine shares valued at about $81.87 million as of June 30. The position was absent from its year-end 2025 holdings report, while the latest disclosure did not specify the acquisition date or purchase price.
The exposure comes through BitMine’s balance sheet rather than a direct ETH investment by the Norwegian fund. BitMine reported approximately 5.805 million ETH in holdings as of Aug. 9, with about 5.067 million ETH staked.
