SUI rose on Monday even as Phantom set Sept. 24 as the date it will stop supporting the Sui network, a change that will require users to turn to another compatible wallet to manage their assets.
The token climbed 2.6% over 24 hours to $0.8152, according to CoinGecko. It has advanced 20.3% in the past seven days and 15.6% over the past month, though it remains down 78% over the past year.
Phantom will stop allowing users to view, send, or swap Sui assets once support is discontinued.
The change does not affect users’ ownership of their Sui assets, which will remain on the blockchain. Users can access them through any compatible wallet using their existing credentials.
